Glass Vessel Sink Maintenance and Care
Glass sinks are made of double layered tempered glass and are very durable; however, certain precautions must be taken in order to insure years of trouble free usage.
- Only use plain water or a mild soap solution to clean the sink. Do not use any harsh and/or abrasive chemicals; this will diminish the shine and luster of the glass surface of the vessel sink.
- Wipe the sink dry after use to prevent water spots.
- Dust/wipe the outside frequently if the exterior of the bowl is textured.
- Do not install a glass sink where the temperature is not regulated (i.e. outside) Sudden and extreme temperature changes may cause the vessel sink to shatter.
- Try not allow the sink to come in contact with steel or other glass objects which could damage the surface.
- Do not pour boiling water directly into the sink. Do not allow extremely hot water to flow into the sink. Water that is too hot may cause the sink to crack due to an extreme temperature variance.
